1. About This Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how Unfinished, available at igorstepanovic.com, uses cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies are small files that websites may store on your device. Other technologies, such as local storage and analytics scripts, can perform related functions without necessarily creating cookies.
We aim to keep tracking to a minimum and provide meaningful control over optional analytics.
2. Strictly Necessary Technologies
Certain technologies are necessary to operate and protect the website.
These may include security mechanisms provided by Cloudflare, which help detect malicious traffic, prevent abuse and maintain website availability.
Depending on the Cloudflare features enabled, security cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance may be used.
Strictly necessary technologies do not require optional analytics consent where applicable law permits their use without consent.
3. Analytics Technologies
We use analytics to understand how visitors interact with the website.
Umami Analytics
Umami is a privacy-focused analytics platform.
Our intended self-hosted configuration does not use cookies for analytics and is designed to collect aggregate usage information without creating advertising profiles.
Information may include page visits, referral sources, general device characteristics and approximate geographical information.
Umami is not used for behavioural advertising.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics helps us understand website traffic and interaction patterns.
Depending on its configuration, Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and measure usage.
Google Analytics is considered optional analytics technology on this website.
Where consent is required, it will not be activated until you have chosen to accept analytics cookies.
4. Cookie Categories
| Category | Purpose | Optional? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Website security, essential functionality and consent preferences | No |
| Analytics | Understanding website visits and usage through Google Analytics | Yes |
Umami is intended to operate without cookies and is described separately from cookie-based analytics.
We do not currently intend to use advertising or remarketing cookies.
5. Your Cookie Choices
When you first visit the website, you may be offered the following choices:
- Accept analytics — allows optional analytics technologies.
- Reject optional — prevents optional analytics technologies from being activated.
- Cookie settings — allows you to review and change your preferences.
Your choice may be stored so that the website can remember your preferences.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time through the website’s cookie settings.
Withdrawing consent does not automatically remove information already processed lawfully before withdrawal.
6. Third-Party Services
The following providers may be involved in website operation and analytics:
Cloudflare — security, content delivery and performance.
Google — Google Analytics.
Umami — self-hosted website analytics software.
For further information, consult the providers’ published privacy documentation.
7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies through their privacy settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may interfere with certain website security functions.
Rejecting optional analytics cookies will not prevent you from accessing the website’s music, stories or other publicly available content.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy if the website’s technologies, providers or legal obligations change.
Any updated version will be published on this page.
